Hi, I'm Emmanuela Yang
But my friends call me Mella, and I'm passionate about capturing the essence of life through portrait, event and lifestyle photography. Whether it's events brimming with energy or the tender moments of personal stories, I find joy in immortalizing each frame.
How did I start?
My photographic journey began at a young age 6 years ago, inspired by the artistry of my sister-in-law. Whether I was assisting her or simply immersing myself in the magic of her work, I discovered a newfound love that evolved into a passionate pursuit. Armed with my trusty phone and camera, I've embarked on a thrilling adventure of freezing memories in time, not only for myself but for others to cherish.
During my junior year of high school, I made the decision to wholeheartedly pursue my passion for photography and content creation. This led me to actively engage in a program called JROTC. By the time I graduated, I had risen to the position of Deputy Group Commander and Social Media Manager. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to blend my creative interests with leadership responsibilities.
Upon entering college, I discovered that my photography and filmmaking skills had potential beyond what I initially imagined. Through capturing various events, I began to discern where my strengths truly lay. It became clear to me that my talents shine brightest in portrait, event, and lifestyle photography and filmmaking. This realization has been instrumental in guiding my path forward.

My love for family and faith in Jesus is the foundation of who I am. Alongside them, my close friends have become a second home, filling my life with joy and unwavering support. Whether I’m with my family, capturing moments through photography, or spending time with my dearest friends, they are the reason I stand strong today. Through it all, I thank God for guiding me on this incredible journey, blessing me with a community that inspires and uplifts me every step of the way.
What's my style?
Photography encompasses a wide range of styles, and I’ve explored and experimented with various editing techniques to discover my true passion. While some styles resonated with me and others did not, I ultimately fell in love with a light, airy, and vibrant editing style. I strive to incorporate as much natural light and as many earth tones as possible, especially for couples, single portraits, and outdoor events. I adore its clean aesthetic and its ability to capture moments in their purest, most authentic form.

I’ve been baking and cooking since I was about four years old, inspired by my parents, siblings, and grandparents. I love the creativity in exploring different styles and flavors, and turning simple ingredients into something meaningful. For me, food is a way to connect, create, and share joy.

I come from a family that thrives on hosting gatherings, and nothing brings me more joy than planning these events and welcoming my loved ones.
